Terms of Use
The rules for using the GCC AI Hub, for every visitor and for signed-in members.
In short
- The GCC AI Hub is free and informational. Nothing on it is legal advice.
- Member logins are personal, and member content stays within Chamber member companies.
- AI answers can be wrong: check them before you rely on them.
- A listing in the provider directory is not an endorsement.
- Hong Kong law applies.
1. About these terms
The GCC AI Hub at gcchk-ai.com (the “platform”) is run by the AI Committee of the German Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong (the “Chamber”, “we”, “us”). Who we are and how to reach us is set out in the Legal Notice. The platform is a committee platform, not the Chamber’s official website.
These terms apply to everyone who uses the platform. By using it, you accept them. If you use the platform for your company, you accept them on its behalf as well. How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, and how we use AI in the AI Transparency Statement.
The platform is meant for businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children.
2. Public and member areas
Most of the platform is open to everyone. Some areas are for staff of Chamber member companies only: the Self-Assessment, the HKU Research Project, matchmaking, provider contact persons, the resources (starter kits and templates), the full use cases, the in-depth regulation guides and partners. Members sign in with their own member account, which the committee approves for staff of Chamber member companies.
- Your account is personal. Give accurate details when you request access, keep your password to yourself, and do not let anyone else use your account.
- Your access ends when you leave your company or your company is no longer a Chamber member, even if your login still works. Please tell us, so that we can delete the account.
- We may approve or decline access requests, change the sign-in method, or end any access at any time, for example after misuse.
- Tell us at once at info@hongkong.ahk.de if you believe your password has been disclosed.
3. Information, not advice
Everything on the platform is general information for orientation. It does not constitute legal, regulatory, technical or other professional advice, and it does not create a client or advisory relationship with the Chamber, the committee or any contributor.
The regulation summaries, guides and deadlines give a non-exhaustive overview of selected rules in the EU, Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR. They reflect the information available on the review date shown on each item. Laws and their interpretation change. The official texts, which we link on each regulation page, always prevail. Responsibility for complying with the law remains with each company, and for a binding assessment you should work with your own legal advisers.
The Self-Assessment and the HKU Research Project results are for orientation. A self-assessment result is not a certification or an audit.
4. AI features
The platform assistant and the free text analysis in matchmaking use an AI model. AI-generated answers and suggestions can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, even with the safeguards described in the AI Transparency Statement. They are not the opinion of the Chamber or the committee.
- Check AI answers against the pages they point to and, for regulation, against the official texts.
- Do not enter personal data about other people, or confidential or commercially sensitive information, into the assistant or the matchmaking description.
- Do not try to make the AI features do things they are not meant for, such as extracting their instructions or producing content unrelated to the platform.
5. Provider directory and matchmaking
The provider directory and matchmaking help members find Chamber member companies with AI offerings. A listing or a match is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee by the Chamber or the committee. Company descriptions come from the companies themselves. We do not check their qualifications, services or claims. Any engagement is between you and the provider alone, so do your own due diligence.
Use contact person details only to get in touch about the listed AI services. Do not add them to mailing lists or use them for unsolicited marketing: the use of personal data in direct marketing is regulated in Hong Kong by Part 6A of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
Member companies can ask to be listed, to change their listing or to be removed via info@hongkong.ahk.de. Listings need committee approval.
6. Member content
Member content, in particular the HKU Research Project results, the full use cases, provider contact persons and the regulation guides, is shared with member companies for their own use. Do not publish it or pass it outside your company without our written consent. Use cases appear with the written consent of the presenting company; respect that trust when you refer to them.
7. Resources
Member companies may download, copy and adapt the resources, the starter kits and templates, for use within their own organisation. They may not sell them, or publish or distribute them as their own. Templates tagged “Sample draft” or “In committee review” are not yet committee approved. They are starting points, not finished policies: adapt them to your organisation and have them reviewed by your own advisers before you adopt them. Starter kits are used with the AI tools of other providers, under those providers’ own terms; the platform details in a kit can change after the date it states.
8. Acceptable use
When you use the platform, you agree not to:
- get around the member sign-in, the rate limits or any other protection, or access member content without authorisation;
- copy member content in bulk, or use bots, scrapers or other automated means on the member areas, the assistant or matchmaking;
- probe, scan or test the platform for vulnerabilities except as described under “Reporting a security issue” in the Legal Notice;
- enter content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing or harmful, or that contains malicious code;
- use the platform in a way that could harm the Chamber, its members or other users, or that breaks the law.
9. Intellectual property
The platform’s content, including the AI Blueprint, texts, figures, resources and design, belongs to the Chamber and its contributors unless stated otherwise. You may view, print and link to public pages for your own information, and quote short passages with the source “GCC AI Hub, AI Committee of the German Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong”. Any other use needs our written consent.
Company names, trade marks and logos belong to their owners. The Chamber’s logo may not be used without the Chamber’s written permission. Linked official texts remain subject to the terms of their publishers.
10. Liability
The platform is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We take care to keep it accurate and working, but we give no warranty that its content is complete, correct or current, or that it will be available without interruption or free of errors.
To the extent permitted by law, the Chamber, the members of the AI Committee and the contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the platform or from reliance on its content, AI answers, listings or resources. This includes indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business or data. We are not responsible for the content of external websites we link to.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable law.
11. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or end the platform or any feature at any time. We may update these terms; the version and date at the top show when they last changed. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are written in English. If we publish translations, the English version prevails. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
12. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from the use of the platform, are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of Hong Kong SAR have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
